The Alphion AMLS-70xx series supports high-performance, versatile IP based access switch. The AMLS-70xx supports all type of data and voice services, wireless back-haul traffic, FTTx, layer2 VPN, layer3 VPN, point 2 Multipoint VPN, IPTV multicast and other bandwidth leasing services supported any to any, one to many, many to many kinds of services.

Alphion AMLS-70xx enables telecoms and service providers to quickly deploy network infrastructure and rapidly scale existing services for FTTx broadband access applications.

Alphion AMLS-70xx suitable indoor deployments with redundant, uplink for convenience, increased availability, reliability and lower costs of maintenance.

Layer 2 features

Supports forwarding of both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic (both Unicast & Multicast).

Supports rich set of L2 switching features that include Bridging, Spanning Tree, Layer2 VPN, Point

2 Multipoint VPN, multicast VPN, VLAN configuration & Translation, LAG/LACP, Traffic Mirroring (Port/VLAN) and QOS.

Also supports static routing for both IPv4 and IPv6.

Supports Forwarding-plane load balancing, Layer3

VLAN Interfaces and Layer3 VPN.

Supports other protocols/features like NTP

Server/Client, DNS Server/Relay, DHCP

Server/Relay/Client, DHCP Snooping and Proxy ARP.

Security

Support access control lists (ACLs) to filter traffic based on parameters, per-user authentication, authorization and accounting.

It provides robust security with port-based authentication, control plane protection, and support for external AAA databases.

Supports TACAS/Radius-based Authentication (802.1X), Port Security and IP Source guard.
